WORLD SPORT ACTION TO PROVIDE COMPETITION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR BASKETBALL IN NSW

Basketball NSW is excited to unveil a new 3-year partnership with World Sport Action as its official competition management solutions provider.

After an extensive selection process, World Sport Action and its basketball competition management system, Basketball Connect, emerged as the chosen platform to serve the basketball community in NSW.

Basketball Connect is a cutting-edge platform tailored for the basketball community, offering a comprehensive technology solution to enhance the online experience for administrators and basketball enthusiasts alike in NSW. 

From their user-friendly registration to a match day app, Basketball Connect covers all technical aspects of basketball administration, through to a smoother process for the basketball community when interacting with the sport.

The Basketball Connect match day app offers significant benefits, including:

  • Easy to find matches with Google locations
  • Automated notifications when matches are postponed, cancelled, moved or forfeited
  • Ability to communicate with your entire basketball community via notifications, email or the news feature  
  • In-app chat function which can be used by administrators, coaches, and team managers. 
  • Electronic match day player sign-on
  • The ability for coaches and team managers to organise training, team events and other activities in the app
  • The ability for players to respond with their availability for matches and training
  • Integrated eCommerce function
  • Detail match and player statistics
  • Real-time draw and ladder 
  • Real-time incident tracking 

Basketball NSW, CEO, Maria Nordstrom said that she is excited by the partnership with World Sport Action and their ability to grow with the sport.

Commencing from the 1st of April 2024, Basketball NSW will work with our community in a phased roll-out of Basketball Connect, with the plan for a full rollout to be completed by October 2024.
