Following the successful launch of the U12 Hotshots camps in Metro at Penrith and Manly back in September, Basketball NSW is excited to announce the program will return again in 2020.

The program will kick off on Sunday the 2nd of February with two camps being held at the Bankstown Basketball Stadium and Norths Indoor Sports Centre.

Further camps will be held throughout the year with the aim to conduct a competition-type Jamboree in the second half of the year where athletes will come together to train and play games in a competitive but fun environment.

The U12 Hot Shots camps are designed to offer players from Metropolitan NSW associations with the opportunity to receive expert coaching to develop their skills to the highest possible level. The Hot Shot program aims to deliver fun skill day content focused around the “Super 6” (Dribbling, Passing, Pivoting, Shooting, 1v1 Defense & Decision Making).

“After the success of our U12 Hotshots camps in 2019 – we are super excited for this program to continue its growth in 2020” Coach Development Manager Jarrod Moore said.

“Hot Shots is the perfect opportunity for our junior athletes to work hard on developing their fundamental skills, meet others from neighboring associations, all while having fun! It is also a great opportunity for parents to be introduced to our Basketball NSW pathway.”

This program is only open to Metro athletes and your year of birth must be either 2009 or 2010. Only 60 spots available.
