We are proud to announce Dr Ali Walker as one of the keynote speakers for the Basketball NSW State Conference. 

Dr Ali Walker is a Human Connection Scientist & Mediator with a PhD in group dynamics from the Australian National University and is the founder of Ality – an organisation dedicated to helping people connect their personality to their purpose. 

Dr Ali Walker has worked as a specialist advisor to organisations such as Google, Suncorp, Australia Post, Lendlease and NSW Ambulance among others. Ali is an executive coach, a nationally accredited mediator, and the author of the bestselling book Get Conscious: How to stop overthinking and come alive.

Dr Ali Walker has given inspirational keynotes for top businesses in Australia and internationally, including Macquarie Bank, Carrier, Downer, the Australian Department of Health, the Australian Department of Education, the Primary Principals’ Association, the Career Advisors’ Association and Choice Aggregation Services.

Dr Walker will be presenting and discussing the topic ‘Making Customers Happy’ on Saturday, 3:30pm. 

Join us on the 25th-27th of November at the Sydney Olympic Park, Novotel, for an exciting conference program with a focus on ‘Steps to Success’.

During the three-day conference, attendees will also be invited to partake in various other sessions led by a number of notable figures in the sporting world that will aim to enlighten and focus on a number of key issues facing the sport and association governance. 

Basketball NSW, CEO, Maria Nordstrom expressed her excitement to bring all association members together for the first time since 2019 and the opportunity to engage and learn with others. 

“We are glad to be able to host our annual State Conference once again, after a two year hiatus due to the pandemic. This year’s conference represents the long-awaited opportunity for us to reconnect, engage and celebrate each other,” said Nordstrom.

The theme of this year’s event ‘2022-2025 Steps to Success’, will in part take our basketball community through an indepth look into our new strategic plan as well as highlighting our keynote speakers and their insights and stories that they can offer that point the way to a richer, more successful sport in which we can all learn from.”

“This year we want to reflect and celebrate the innovation we have seen over the past two years and also include within the program various memos that affect us all within the sport from infrastructure to Coach and Referee updates.”
