AUSTRALIAN TEAMS FOR FIBA OCEANIA U17 CHAMPIONSHIPS ANNOUNCED

The next generation of Australia’s best and brightest basketballers have been selected to represent the green and gold

Congratulations to the following NSW athletes who have been selected to represent Australia at the FIBA Oceania Under 17 Championships, to be held in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea October 2-7.

The women’s and men’s teams are both defending their titles at the Championship, the first major FIBA event hosted in Papua New Guinea since the global pandemic.

The Emus will be led by Robbie McKinlay (Sutherland Sharks) as Head Coach.

This year’s edition of the tournament will serve as the first step in the qualification process to the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup with the top two finishers qualifying to the 2024 FIBA U18 Asia Championship.
