MEGAN HUSTWAITE TO EMCEE HALL OF FAME

Renowned sports journalist and broadcaster, Megan Hustwaite, has been announced as the emcee for the 2023 Basketball NSW Hall of Fame. The event, which honors the state’s most distinguished basketball figures, will take place on November 25th at the Novotel Wollongong Northbeach. This will be Hustwaite’s second time hosting the event after making an unforgettable appearance at last year’s ceremony.

With her 20 years of experience as a respected sports journalist and commentator, Hustwaite has established herself as a well-respected figure with a deep passion for basketball, particularly women’s basketball. She has been a familiar voice across numerous media platforms, including News Corp, 1116 SEN, SBS and ESPN. Her passion for the sport has seen her work tirelessly across the WNBL and NBL1, covering the WNBL for over a decade and a half.

Her ability to connect with people and tell their stories in a way that captivates audiences has made her a highly sought-after talent in the sports journalism world. 

Basketball NSW, CEO, Maria Nordstrom expressed excitement to again have Hustwaite as the master of ceremonies. 

“We are thrilled to have Megan as our emcee for the 2023 Basketball NSW Hall of Fame. Her love for basketball and her superb storytelling skills make her the perfect person to deliver an unforgettable experience for all attendees,” said Nordstrom.

“Her professionalism is unmatched, and we had an overwhelmingly positive reaction to her overseeing last year’s event. 

Basketball NSW will be welcoming five new inductees into the Hall of Fame along with elevating one member to Legend status.

On the night, we will also welcome our eighth Legend, Hall of Famer.

The 2023 Basketball NSW Hall of Fame promises to be a remarkable occasion, celebrating the achievements of some of the state’s most prominent basketball figures while also recognising the evolution of the sport. With Megan Hustwaite as the master of ceremonies, it is sure to be an event that nobody will want to miss.

Time: 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start
