With the Cygnett WNBL 2023/24 season tipping-off tonight, Basketball NSW is excited to acknowledge the referees from around the state that have been appointed to officiate the WNBL and NBL leagues.

In addition to the WNBL and NBL referee panels, ten NSW referees have also been selected for the National Referee Development Program (NRDP) and the Elite Referee Program (ERP), which provide a platform for referees to further enhance their skills and contribute to the growth of basketball in Australia.

Managed by Basketball Australia in collaboration with the NBL, the NRDP offers a comprehensive development framework for aspiring referees. The program’s content is jointly delivered by Basketball Australia and the NBL, ensuring a holistic approach to referee education and training.

The ERP is exclusively managed by the NBL, with the content delivered by the league itself. This program caters to the elite referees who have already demonstrated exceptional skills and a deep understanding of the game.
