Basketball NSW seeking expressions of interest for both Tribunal Hearing Panel and Fair Hearings and Support for Complainants Program.
Basketball NSW is committed to upholding the National Integrity Framework set by Basketball Australia. This framework includes policies, educational materials, and resources to prevent corruption in basketball.
The policy framework for managing disputes and disciplinary action may require us to hold Tribunal Hearings. To make this possible, we are creating a panel of Internal Tribunal members and inviting members of the basketball community to express their interest.
We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about sports integrity to serve on ad-hoc Tribunals. These hearings can be conducted both virtually and face-to-face, often outside of business hours. Each Tribunal will consist of legal practitioners and representatives from our diverse basketball community.
If you are a legal practitioner with a current practising certificate, we would love to hear from you!
In addition to the Tribunal Hearing Panel, we are also seeking Expressions of Interest from people who are MPIOs, Grievance Officers or Counsellors who would like to join the Fair Hearings and Support for Complainants Program. The program aims to provide support to complainants throughout the entire hearing process, ensuring that their concerns are recognized and addressed with care and professionalism.

Successful applications will be required to complete both online training courses as identified by both Basketball Australia National Integrity Framework and Basketball NSW inclusion education programs (delivered by external providers).
