NSW REFEREES SELECTED FOR UPCOMING U20 & IVOR BURGE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Basketball NSW is thrilled to announce the inclusion of five esteemed NSW officials and two referee coaches who have earned the honour of representing their state at the upcoming Under 20 & Ivor Burge Footlocker National Championships later this month.

The National Championships present an outstanding platform for emerging officials to showcase and enhance their skills on a national stage. This year’s tournament will be hosted in Ballarat Victoria and will run from January 30- February 4th at Selkirk Stadium. The event will have three days of pool games and three days of finals culminating in the Grand Final on Sunday.

Head of Technical Officials, Steve Clark conveyed his pride in witnessing numerous local, talented referees progress to the next phase of their officiating journeys.

“On behalf of the officiating community here at Basketball NSW, I extend heartfelt congratulations to Oliver, James, Jayden, Emmy, and Davina for their well-deserved selections for the upcoming Footlocker National Championships in Ballarat,” said Clark.

“Being selected is a remarkable accomplishment in their basketball careers, underscoring that dedication and hard work pave the way for opportunities to represent one’s state at the national level. We eagerly anticipate supporting each of them in this exciting next step and wish them the best.”

Under 20s:

  • Oliver Toon – Northern Suburbs Basketball Association
  • James Poelczer – Illawarra Basketball Association
  • Jayden Kreig – Illawarra Basketball Association

Ivor Burge:

  • Emmy Prykiel – Northern Suburbs Basketball Association
  • Davina Kuang – St George Basketball Association

Referee Coaches:

  • U20s – Debbie Keirs – Penrith Basketball Association
  • Ivor Burge – Tom Marsh – Sutherland Basketball Association
