With a mission to develop skills and foster an understanding of the game, BNSW has introduced four unique opportunities for budding basketball players born in 2012 to take their game to the next level.

The Under 13 Challenges feature distinct names inspired by former NSW players. These players began their basketball journey at different ages in their local NSW association and progressed through the basketball NSW development programs at their own pace. It’s a chance for players to test their skills and potentially open doors to future opportunities in the world of competitive basketball. These Tours provide Country and Metro athletes with the opportunity to compete against each other, as well as against athletes from other States in Australia. The focus of the Tours is development first and foremost and selections and preparations reflect as such.

Athletes and coaches have already trialed earlier in 2023 and have been selected for the below events.

The BNSW Shootout is targeted at participants identified as potential participants for the following years ACJBC and ECC (and U16 and U18 State team programs), this event is conducted for both boys and girls in the U15 & U17 age groups.
